The Ribbons of Chapo de Caro!

History of our ribbons…

An animal painter for around twenty years and a nature lover, Odile Laresche has her studio nestled in the heart of Sologne, where nature is a real source of inspiration for her creations.

With her paintings and drawings, she develops a range of textile decorative objects. Each drawing is reworked by her then printed in a Lyon workshop mainly on linen. This French textile printing workshop is recognized as an EPV (Living Heritage Company) for its excellent know-how and allows Odile to work each print, each color as she wishes.

Odile then sews and shapes each of her pieces: cushion, blanket, pencil case, apron in order to offer artisanal work and “handmade with love in Sologne”.

"The France 5 House" visited him for a program about Sologne broadcast in February 2020.

It was during craft and artistic craft fairs and exhibitions that we imagined working together.
Our discussions highlighted our shared attachment to the nature that surrounds us, to this inexhaustible source of inspiration that we each interpret in our own way.

Among our other common points, our choices to work with beautiful and noble materials, our love of excellent techniques and know-how, our taste for craftsmanship and consuming locally. We look for our suppliers as close as possible, are committed to creating and manufacturing each of our creations with our own hands.

For the opening of the store Living on the Sologne side in Cheverny In December 2020, we worked in collaboration with Odile on the velvet ribbons for our collection of felt hats “WILD COLORS”

For this summer 2021 launch, we have renewed our four-handed work and we imagined a range of spring and colorful accessories.

In this range we have created exclusive ribbons in cotton satin mixing small birds from Odile's universe on one side and geometric patterns on the other in order to offer you original accessories to enhance your hats and summer outfits.
To tie on the back or side of your hat, the ribbon will mainly reveal one or the other of the patterns. It can also embellish your hairstyle.

Black background: Small birds from our gardens accompanied by pretty multi-colored polka dots.
Pink Background: Avocets, sandpipers and barges placed on the back in a cloud of small white polka dots.
Pale green background: Sologne woodcocks and pretty play of white and green triangular patterns.
White background: Beautiful owl in its landscape of birch trees and Japanese-inspired patterns in a blueish shade.
Blue Background: “Diving” ducks combined with deckchair stripes for a maritime feel.
